Twenty questions

Did you ever play that twenty questions game when you were a kid?

Is it an animal, mineral or Terri Schiavo?

Sorry to be callous, but I'm sick of these selective "right-to-life" movements. The working poor and people of color in our society get no health coverage, but brain-dead white girls are required by law to have every minute squeezed out of their catatonic state. I'm not saying it's racist--I'm sure if we were able to collect all of pieces of Iraqi kids we've blown to pieces, we'd be happy to hook them up to machines too.

The line of where to designate life is very difficult. I have no answers.

But this is not about that--it is about a selfish, hateful family who think their emotional needs are more important than their daughter's own decisions. It is about opportunist, hypocritical politicians who are led by a guy who helped create a law that allows insurance companies and doctors to unplug people AGAINST the family's wishes. (Bush did this in Texas.)

It's about a lot of self-righteous assholes who wouldn't want to be kept "alive" in the same situation, but fight to keep Terri "alive" because it makes them feel good about themselves.

I say unplug her and unplug the careers of all these people launching hypocritical crusades on behalf of Terri Schiavo.
